Main features of better welding specifications:

a. The weld seam is well formed.

b. The welding process is stable with minimal splashing.

c. Hear the sound of sand during welding.

d. During welding, the pointer of the ammeter and voltmeter of the welder is stable and the swing is small.

Adjustment steps for better welding specifications:

a. Select welding wire diameter, gas flow rate, and welding current based on the thickness of the workpiece and the position of the weld seam.

b. Test welding on the test plate, carefully adjust the welding voltage and arc thrust according to the selected welding current, and the optimal welding voltage is generally between 1~2V.

c. Adjust the welding current, welding voltage, and gas flow rate appropriately based on the formation of the weld seam on the test plate to achieve better welding specifications.

d. During the formal welding process on the workpiece, attention should be paid to the welding circuit, the voltage drop caused by contact resistance, and the welding voltage should be adjusted

(fine tuned) in a timely manner to ensure the stability of the welding process (for larger workpieces).

Welding phenomenon and elimination of poor matching in specifications

① When there are always drop-shaped metal balls at the end of the welding wire and the transition frequency is low, this situation indicates that

If the welding voltage is too high, increase the wire feeding speed (welding current) or reduce the welding voltage to solve the problem.

② When the dry elongation is too short, it can be welded normally, but if it is slightly longer, there will be a problem with the top wire. The welding voltage is low, which can be solved by reducing the

wire feeding speed (welding current) or increasing the welding voltage.

③ Pay attention to the status of the knobs on the panel: Generally, we tilt the thrust knob 2 to 3 squares to the right according to the standard scale. When the current is too high, it is recommended

to continue increasing the thrust knob according to the stability of the welding process. For fine welding wires Φ 0.8、 Φ 1.0 Low current( Φ 0.8 I<80A、 Φ 1.0 I<100A), the arc thrust can be

appropriately reduced, which is beneficial for the flexibility of the arc.

④ The welding wire diameter switch must be selected correctly and match the diameter of the welding wire used.

The Relationship between Weld Forming and Welding Specification The Influence of Welding Specification and Plate Thickness on Forming

① General I=(20-30) δ, if δ> 6mm should generally be welded in multiple layers or multiple layers to ensure good forming.

② If the current is too low, it is easy for the weld seam to spread and accumulate, especially for fillet welds without grooves.

③ If the current is too high, it is easy to cause welding leakage of the workpiece.
